Iolite facets cut today!

Today i took 4 stones from rough shapen to fine and rough facet cut. When i finish all the facets i will post another update. It started by turning the rough iolite stones until the shape was round oval or square. Then i attached them to dop sticks using natural tree shellac and glue. Then i formed the rough stone and cut the rough facets. Finally i took one stone to the final polishing step. I basket cut the entire face of the biggest iolite stone. This stone is for a customer who will put it in the steering handle on the rudder of his boat.

After I facet cut all these facets on the stones face and finish the one cabochons polishing, i will turn them around. I will have to shape, rough cut the facets and then finish the base facets.
