Yes this is true. Natural rubies can be bought in bulk for prices as low as one dollar. Even with the weaker us dollar the stones prices in the gem market have taken a bit hit. As this economic adjustment occurs and markets tighten, Gem cutters are allowing gems in large lots to be sold as low as $1.00 U.S. Wow i had to go and buy a bag and yes they are truly lovely. All range of quality and colors are found when bought in large lots. This stones will be listed on Ebay as low priced auctions. Some of the stones are cabochon cut and in various sizes from 3-10 carats each, while some are facet cut 3/4-1 carat size.
These are rubies and sapphires are from new mines located in Madagascar and Sri Lanka.
I have been buying and selling with profit on the open gems market for years now!
