As Moses told about the tweleve tribes of Israel, each one was represented by a different gem stone. These were changed in 1912 by the American National Jeweler Association.

This was deemed Not Profitable and was change many times.
Many new stone have been added. such Quartz, Citrine, Amethyst and Tourmaline, as well as Pearls not even a True Gemstone.
